The neurons, the brain-cells are all connected... messages sent to our comprehension..

We have a left brain and a right brain connected to each other by thick cable of nerves at the base of each brain....

Our brain is made up of two halves, a left brain a right brain. There's a big fold that goes from front to back in our brain, essentially dividing it into two distinct and separate parts. Well, almost separate. They are connected to each other by a thick cable of nerves at the base of each brain.

This sole link between the two giant processors is called the corpus collosum. Think of it as an Ethernet cable or network connection between two incredibly fast and immensely powerful computer processors, each running different programs from the same input.
That is how it works scientifically.

Let's identify those "left brain" types who are very analytical and orderly. We likewise certainly know of the artistic, unpredictability and creativity of "right brain" types. But each of us draws upon specific sides of our brain for a variety of daily functions, depending on such things as our age, education and life experiences.

Thus the choices of which brain is in control of which situations is what forges our personalities and determines our character.

Maturity of mind, can it be measured? the color shows something about maturity...

Food for your mind? Each of us spend thousands of $ to buy food to eat, 3 times a day, 365 days a year... how much have we fed our mind?

Our brain, use it or lose it! Our brain consists of genetic IQ and acquired IQ or knowledge [conscious, unconscious or subconscious]

How many of us have stopped feeding our brain? It was once upon a time that we fed it well until we graduate... We fed it with proper food yet spiced with junk food of which some are totally rubbish foods.

We install all available knowledge from all sources, visible or invisible, heard or unheard, told or untold, facts or fictions, real or fantasy... but forgotten to DELETE or UNINSTALL rubbish thoughts, those thoughts which we categorize as DANGEROUS NEGATIVE THOUGHTS!

We are exposed to every passing moments, happy or unhappy, bad or good, intense or simple, caring or suffering, positive or negative... We know all of them and have installed them deep inside us, conscious or unconscious.

What we have in mind will be what we will produce. Actions and words that emerge from our mouth and body will cumulatively portray the real thoughts in our mind or brain. Here comes the most interesting part, the power of using what is inside our mind/brain.

In the garden of your heart.....

In the garden of your heart,
you must plant and foster the rose of
Divinity, the jasmine of humility
and the lily of generosity.

In your medicine chest,
you must keep in readiness,
the tablets of discrimination,
drops of self-control and
three key powders of faith,
devotion and patience.

Through the use of these drugs,
you can escape
the serious illness called ignorance.

There goes for eating... feeding the body... what about thinking??? food for your mind?

Sprouts are SUPERIOR FOODS, rich in phytonutrients, vitamins and life-force enegies..., go for organic sources or sprout them yourself!

The most popular chinese green herbs that is a MUST amongst us is 'chinese celery'... tofu soup is incomplete without it...

These natural green cooking herbs are irresistible... cooking will be tasteless dull without them...

Herbs can add additional benefits besides adding flavor to foods

Basil, yummy...have it chopped finely, add generously, more than enough into Italian mee, it tastes so much nice even without any meats or other delicacies... why not?

Instead of depending on seasonings and additives, we can use natural cooking herbs that can spice up our foods... yummy...

We eat to live, not live to eat... so better be eating safe and healthy...

Too colorful to be called 'safe' for eating, but people won't care too much....

Be careful of seasonings and additives that comes in colorful bottles... there ae preservatives inside to preserve their shelf-life span, not yours!O

Of course food cooked and added with seasonings and preservatives looks delicious and nutritious. Don't be cheated by artificial colors and artificial flavors, it will kill as fast if not as easy.... all of us have to pay a heavy price for them...

Look at some of the cakes? Look at some of the puddings? or 'agar-agar'?

These foods are too colorful to be called healthy foods... I wonder if one can find a colorful rainbow of urine that matches the color of the food you eat... where has all these colors gone to???

Stir-fry instead of deep-fry.... Ginger fried chicken with black fungus..[black fungus good for blood thinning] Use lots of food herbs instead....

Steamed tofu is real nutritious and delicious for a healthy treat....

Steaming food and keeping it as simple so as to taste the original flavor...don't use too much seasonings...

Steam instead of fry in deep oil...

It plays to learn the skill of healthy eating... a lesson that our mums at home should be teaching, starting from the kitchen...

Here is a summary of the sequence of eating...

[1] small bowl of warm soup
[2] raw vegetables
[3] cooked vegetables
[4] fresh fruits
[5] carbohydrates [a few spoonful]
[6] meats/fish [sparingly]
[7] deserts
[8] small amount of drinks

This is the best order of eating when enjoying a buffet or a big dinner. Don't gulp down a big glass of cold drink especially soft drinks or sweetened drinks which is definitely not advisable for our digestive system. It will dilute our digestive enzymes thus upsetting our digestion in a long run.

As we have lots of vegetables and fruits to be the base of our food, the fiber inside these good vegetables will make our bowel movement move well and absorb excess fats/oils/sugars and cholesterol and be out of our body system just after a few hours in bulk!

Thus one can still enjoy good food when in a buffet or a dinner provided we don't start with meats or fish immediately.

But as in normal meals, it is best eaten simple and with less meats/fish and carbohydrates but more vegetables as a base.... Don't forget... most greens have abundant anti-oxidants and vital vitamins that keeps all of us healthier and happier!

Cheers!

Suggested food combination... vegetables with carbohydrates, meats with vegetables instead of carbohydrates.. why?

Most vegetables or almost all vegetables are alkaline in nature...
Most fruits or almost all fruits are alkaline in nature...
Most carbohydrates and sugars are acidic in nature...
Meats, white or red are all acidic in nature...

Thus for best food combination, just search out the foods that can come along into neutralizing acidity with alkaline foods and it pays to check what foods are acidic and which are alkaline...

Too acidic blood nature will cause a lot of health problems... A very obvious acidic nature called acidosis which is one of the major reason for most ailments.

Acidic Foods

  • Corn
  • Meat
  • Beans

Please note that some foods, such as citrus fruits, have an acid pH before they are consumed and but they usually leave an alkaline residue in the body after they have been metabolized.

More colorful vegetables, generously added into our daily foods is eating healthy and making sure the food be as organic as possible....

Fish porridge will do for dinner....

It is nutritious and easily digested with fish as the main protein. Add ginger, spring onions, groundnuts and dried oysters, tofu and some 'dried ikan bilis' to go. Yummy... warming and delicious, a must to try at home.... count all those ingredients... coming to 8? ok, go ahead and enjoy your dinner!

Fried kuey teow... but the one I fried has more vegetables than the kuey teow...3824..means 3 meals, each with 8 types of food, totalling 24

I have green onions, green leek, bean sprouts, chillies, garlic, eggs, fish balls, prawns, squids and sometimes small shreds of chicken meat to add into just 250 gm of kuey teow. It makes quite a nice mixture of vegetables, carbohydrate and some protein there... and best of all, my children likes it very much.

This is the easiest food to prepare to have only one dish to provide more than 10 different foods. Nutritionists mention about eating at least 24 different types of food daily, one meal with at least 8 types of food.

The kuey teow above that I myself fry has now at least 8 types of food. 3 meals multiply by 8 equals to 24. Add generously those vegetables... to provide variety of food that will definitely provides more nutrition.

Stir fry vegetables with small shreds of meats can go well with some rice. Quite balanced in a meal...
