When someone throws a question... wait till they answer... it is dangerous to give negative assuming answers.... for eg.. where have you been? oh, i know... must be to see your ex... and keep on emphasizing the wrong accusations....

It is not wise to throw a question to his spouse...
and start answering his own question..
how?  Answering with negative assuming...
and worst of all, keep on emphasizing his own answers....

why is it dangerous to answer assuming negative answers?
The answer correct or wrong, will be reacted on...
The more one self-affirm such negative accusations..
the more one provoke and agitate the one you are talking to...

So, actually you are planting a bomb..
waiting for it to explode... yes, it will explode..
Always false accusations become so real that
the person will continue to attack and abuse human rights....

Your spouse will be left with no chance to explain...
Your spouse will be left with no choice but to explode...
So, one can imagine how destructive the explosion can be..
if it has been kept and stored for years... raw and wrong accusations....

Please, for your own sake and your family...
do not repeat or attempt to make such expensive mistakes...
